OUR JOURNEY
In the year 1947, Shri Govind Ram Lohia ventured into the textile business, opening a small shop at 180, M.G. Road, Kolkata, under the name of Govind Ram Narayan Prasad. The business continued its expansion under its successors Mr. Narayan Prasad Lohia, Mr. Ramkumar Lohia and Late Mr. Kishan Kumar Lohia. Manufacturing units were set up in Kolkata, Jetpur (Rajkot, Gujarat) and Mumbai.
The business was later modelled into a corporate structure with the incorporation of N. R. Design Centre Pvt. Ltd. and Suchitra Fabtex Pvt. Ltd. in the year 1992 and 2003, respectively. Currently, under the leadership of Mr. Anant Lohia, the company Suchitra Fabtex Pvt. Ltd. has become a leading manufacturer of cotton sarees in India providing high-quality cotton sarees to thousands of wholesalers & retailers and millions of satisfied women across the country and internationally.
